Find some small images on the internet. Put them into Photoshop and use the magnifying tool to blow them up and see the pixels.

Can you work out what picture the pixels make?

Make a Star Wars pixel picture.

Colour the numbers the correct colours to make the image.

Make your own pixel image using KidPix.

Use the square template, the paint bucket tool and the colour palette to fill in the squares to make a picture.

  1. Read the story Underneath a cow by Carol Ann Martin.
  2. Find an image in KidPix to represent your favourite characters in the story. Insert these images.

I can draw digital images using KidPix and Hyperstudio.

I can type text to go with a digital image.

  • Use the text features in KidPix and Hyperstudio to type the name of each character.

Give reasons for personal preferences. 

  1. Move the image you drew of your favourite character from KidPix to Keynote.
  2. Use the text feature in Keynote to describe your character and explain why you like this character.
